Donegal Motorhome Hire

All the prices quoted are inclusive of VAT, insurance, gas, toilet chemical, dishes, cutlery and personal handover. All our motorhomes are equipped with TV, Shower, fridge, hob and night heater. A booking deposit of €250 per week must be paid to secure a booking. A security deposit of €750 must be paid on collection of motorhome. Included in the security deposit of €750 is a cleaning deposit. If the motorhome is not returned cleaned inside and outside, €150 will be forfeited by the customer.

All motorhomes must be returned

with a full tank of fuel
fresh water tank full
waste tanks empty
clean - inside and outside

Any breakages or damage must be reported to Irish Motor Home Hire before the motorhome is returned to the depot

Driver Requirements

Drivers must be aged 25-70, and have held a full driving licence for at least 2 years. One driver is included in the rate. Driving licences must be available for inspection at the time of pick up, and must be free of endorsements. Driving restrictions, legal or medical, must be disclosed in advance.

Accidents

Any breakages or damage must be reported to Irish Motor Home Hire before the motorhome is returned to the depot.

It is the customer's responsibility to complete an accident form and to notify Irish Motor Home Hire. Failure to do so may result in the loss of the security deposit. Customers must also contact the Gardai/Police where necessary. If the customer is deprived of use of the motor home, in the event of damage/breakdown to the motor home, or an accident, which is not due to the negligence of the customer, Irish Motor Home Hire's liability will be limited to the refund of rental charges for any lost rental time. The customer is not entitled to a replacement where the vehicle has been misused or damaged due to negligence. Failure to declare an accident is a criminal offence.

Parking/Traffic Violations/Tolls

Customers are responsible for payment of all parking/traffic fines. Irish Motor Home Hire must be notified of these violations. An admin fee will be charged if this does not occur.

Maintenance and Breakdown Responsibility

The customer is responsible for checking the tyre pressure and the water and oil levels in the engine each day. Customers are held responsible for damage to tyres and windscreens and may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in vehicle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance. In the event of a breakdown, the customer may have repairs carried out to the value of €75, this shall be reimbursed on production of the receipts. Repairs in excess of this amount must be notified to Irish Motor Home Hire.

Availability

While every effort shall be made to supply the model you booked, Irish Motor Home Hire reserves the right to substitute an alternative vehicle should the need arise. If this is not acceptable Irish Motor Home Hire's liability is limited to the refund of any payment made.

Complaints

Any complaints must be made to Irish Motor Home Hire at the latest on return of the vehicle. If the complaint is not resolved satisfactorily at this time, the customer must inform Irish Motor Home Hire in writing within 14 days.

Cancellation

By Customer

All customers are advised to purchase holiday cancellation insurance. If the customer decides to cancel a booking the following charges will apply:

More than 6 weeks before departure date...........Booking deposit lost

Less than 4 weeks before departure date............100% of hire cost

No show......................................................100% of hire cost

4-6 weeks before departure date........................50% of hire cost

By Irish Motor Home Hire

Irish Motor Home Hire reserves the right to refuse to hire a motor home to anyone, without stating a reason. In this case the booking deposit may be refunded.

Irish Motor Home Hire reserves the right to cancel a booking when any of the conditions are not met, including:

Failure to pay security deposit
The motor home is over occupied
A customer from outside Ireland or UK fails to produce a valid passport. Customers must provide a second form of identification.
The nominated drivers licence is not produced for inspection or is not valid, or contains endorsements.
The address on the drivers licence does not match the billing address provided.

Under these circumstances no refund shall be made to the customer

Pets

Under no circumstances are any animals/pets permitted in the motor home. If this rule is violated an extra cleaning cost of €200 shall be incurred. Guide dogs are an exception.

Personal Car Parking/Storage of Luggage

The parking of one car is available at the customer's own risk at our Letterkenny Depot Only. Parking is available at our Dublin Depot for a fee. (see www.quickpark.ie)

Pickup & returns

Collection and return days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Motor homes should be picked up from 1.00pm on the specified day unless agreed otherwise and returned ready for inspection before 12 noon on the last rental day. Late pickup does not entitle the customer to a later return time. Unarranged late returns will be subject to a charge of €50 per hour. No refund shall be made for early returns. If the motor home is not returned to the correct location, the security deposit may be forfeited.

Insurance

Driving in Ireland, UK and Europe

The nominated driver only is provided with comprehensive insurance by Irish Motor Home Hire to drive in Ireland and the UK. Additional drivers can be insured for €10.00 per day.

Personal property is not covered.

Theft of the motor home is not covered by insurance if the keys are left in the ignition

General Conditions

Rental prices, terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

Bedding is not included in the rental, but can be provided at an additional cost. Child seats are required by law for children under 12. Please ask for prices if this is required. Smoking is prohibited in the motorhomes and will result in the loss of your deposit.
